Likewise, in the map of the Northern Ocean by Olaus Magnus, one can see an illustration of other flying fishes. The first image depicts a fish with a broad tail, spreading out like that of a dolphin. The second illustration relates to the fishes on the map of the White Lake, which is a massive and most remote body of water in the far North, bordering the territories of the Muscovites, the Swedes, and their subject nations. A flying fish lives there, of the kind depicted in the image below.
