With its four hands, the creature hurled large stones, killing several of the locals. Terrified, the people assembled a large force of armed men and, at a given signal, attacked the monster from behind. At last, though many of the soldiers were killed, they laid the immense beast low. It was later brought into the public square for exhibition, where crowds gathered from all over in profound wonder. Meanwhile, the historical records reveal just how many great calamities and constant hardships plagued that region during this time.
