Concerning Several Other Fish of Various Kinds

We present here for your inspection the illustrations of several fish of different types that wander through Neptune's realm. These were found in the public museum, and we include them now so they do not remain in obscurity. The first is a figure of a certain reticulated fish, caught near the shores of the island of Elba, which was presented as a miraculous wonder to the Most Serene Francesco, Grand Duke of Tuscany.

In the second place, we have depicted a fish called the *Sedacz* among the Poles, which grows to the size of a Bolognese ell.

Third, we have illustrated a fish that lives in the ocean near the magnetic pole, the figure of which Cornelius de Jode included on his map of Asia.

Fourth, we provide an image of the eggs of a certain fish; these were pitch black and clung to the small leaves of a water plant, just as they are shown in the illustration.
