On the other hand, we must also consider similar monstrous statures—in terms of both great and small size—within the animal kingdom as well. I recall seeing dwarf dogs and cats, as well as dwarf hens whose bellies touch the ground because of the shortness of their legs. The common people call such creatures "dwarfs."
Among cattle, dwarfs are occasionally encountered. We present the reader with an illustration of one found in our public museum, although some authors claim this is actually a specific breed of ox that can be ridden like a horse.
