Once again, a four-footed hen of a uniform color was observed; indeed, its whole body was a sort of rusty-red. Its feet were yellow and deformed by Nature, specifically in the manner seen in Illustration IV.

Furthermore, many creatures of this kind have been found with malformed feet, but most were born with three. Indeed, Lycosthenes records a three-footed rooster, born along with many other chicks in Calabria in the year of the world 3768—which is 194 years before the birth of the Virgin Mother—as shown in Illustration V.
