Since, therefore, both seeds have been mixed and enclosed in the form of a clot, as was related above, numerous delicate fibers emerge from the first day through the seventh. Within these, the liver and its principal organs are produced by natural power; indeed, three small white bubbles, much like curdled milk, arise within the congealed seed in the positions of the liver, heart, and brain. Soon, a vein directed through the umbilicus also draws in blood suitable for nourishment, which necessitates the generation of a bifurcated vein, as seen in the following figures.
