Alongside the hideousness of these heads, we must not omit that monster born once (as Johannes Othelen reports) in the year 1576. All the limbs of its body were complete, except for the head, which was rough, horrific, and wrinkled in appearance. It was without eyes and without nostrils, in place of which only two small openings were visible. In the other parts of its body, it was female, and in the middle of its face was a certain central fissure, which this girl was said to be unable to use; moreover, the skin over its entire body was of a pale color, like that of a corpse.
