I. A winged and horned monster, resembling an evil demon.

The history and description of this monster are recorded by several authors, one of whom is Ambroise Paré. In his book on monsters, he writes the following: "In the year of our Lord 1571, on the Thursday following Reminiscere Sunday, a monstrous infant was born in the Pisan countryside. It had a horned head, two canine teeth, long ears, and stood two feet tall. It also possessed claws on its wings and feet, and lived for no more than eight hours; we provide its likeness here."
