The fourth illustration of a Harpy.
To the creatures already described, we add the crab-like Harpy. If this animal were to exist in the natural world, it would surely fill everyone with wonder, as it emulates three distinct types of living beings. First, it features the head of a woman with a forehead of curled hair. Next, it has two pincers and eight legs—four on each side—in the manner of a crab. Its body is oblong and covered in a reticulated shell; down the center of this shell run two lines, between which are small marks drawn to resemble the rungs of a ladder. Finally, it possesses a tail mimicking that of a scorpion, as can be seen in the figure below
